There’s so much to see, do, and taste at the Mid-Somerset Show - a day out for everyone!
Watch the action-packed Main Ring, with Shetland ponies racing in their mini Grand National, heavy horses showing off their heritage, thrilling team relays, and vintage tractors rumbling by. Beyond the ring, explore Somerset’s finest produce at bustling trade stands, including a 90m Food & Cheese Hall, shop for jewellery, clothes, or even a new tractor, and enjoy traditional rural crafts in action. See top-quality livestock in the sheep pens, cattle lines, and pig tent (some even in fancy dress!), cheer at the hilarious Sheep Show, and catch falconry, gun dogs, and terriers in the Countryside Ring. Across the horse and pony rings, equines of all shapes and sizes perform to the highest standard. Step back in time in the vintage section, or admire local talent in the Arts & Crafts Tent.
With free entry to pedestrians and £20 car parking (discounts available if booked in advance), the Mid-Somerset Show is a fun-filled, value-for-money day out. It so much more than just cheese and cider, it’s a true celebration of rural life!
Accessibility
Blue badge holder parking is available in the Purple Car Park. Disabled parking fees are the same as general parking fees. All pre-purchased car parking tickets can be used at the Purple gate provided a valid Blue Badge is also presented. Tickets can also be purchased at the Purple gate.

How to find the show.
The Mid Somerset Showground, Cannard’s Grave Road, Shepton Mallet BA4 4GF
From the M5:
Leave M5 at junction 23 and follow the A39 to Street and onto Glastonbury. In Glastonbury take the A361 to Shepton Mallet. At Shepton Mallet continue towards the A37, and signs will direct you to showground parking.
From the A303:
Leave the A303 at Podimore roundabout and join the A37 signposted to Shepton Mallet. Once on the edge of Shepton Mallet road signs will direct you to showground parking.
