Beyond the Mid-Somerset Show, the Society organises a range of events throughout the year that bring together the local community in fun, engaging, and meaningful ways. From social evenings to commemorative celebrations, charity fundraisers, and family-friendly activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're a long-time local or new to the area, our events offer a great chance to connect, take part, and celebrate everything that makes our region special.

Upcoming events in 2025
8th May: VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebration. To include: a beacon lighting, live music, fish n chips, classic cars and plenty more family friendly activities. Free to attend, no booking required & on site parking. If you own a classic car or military vehicle please feel free to bring it along for display on the evening. 1940s themed fancy dress encouraged.

Face Painting only available between 7pm-8pm.
25th May: The Somerset Horse Show. A family friendly unaffiliated horse show. Members of the public welcome to come along and watch, hot food & drinks available as well as a trade stands to browse. Please click HERE for more information.
5th June: Member's evening. From 7pm at Kilver Court by kind permission of the Showering Family. Live music, open gardens & sit down buffet. Tickets are £35pp and must be booked by the 22nd May directly from the office (limited number available). This evening is open to society members & show sponsors only. 15th August: The Pre-Show Party. Welcome in the 2025 Mid-Somerset Show with a bang! A sit down steak dinner & live music. More details available nearer the time.

28th September: Equine Car Boot Sale. After an amazingly popular sale in April, we are looking forward to welcoming equine enthusiasts back to the showground for another sale. More information available HERE.
