Beyond the Mid-Somerset Show, the Society organises a range of events throughout the year that bring together the local community in fun, engaging, and meaningful ways. From social evenings to commemorative celebrations, charity fundraisers, and family-friendly activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're a long-time local or new to the area, our events offer a great chance to connect, take part, and celebrate everything that makes our region special.

Upcoming events in 2026 

14th January: The Wassail. Our Traditional Wassail Ceremony. Tickets are available, £15 per person to include hot food & entertainment. For more information please click HERE. 

15th February: The Countryside Day. A day dedicated to celebrating just a few of the many rural practices & activities the UK has to offer. For more information please click HERE.

24th May: The Somerset Horse Show. A family friendly unaffiliated horse show. All abilities welcome For more information please click HERE.

14th August: The Pre-Show Party. Welcome in the 2026 Mid-Somerset Show with a bang! A sit down steak dinner & live music. More details available nearer the time.
