The only award-winning free entry one day agricultural show in the south west. Held on the 3rd Sunday in August. Building on over 160 years of history.

Great new attractions for 2018 Show

We are delighted to welcome Paws for Thought Dog Display Team to this years show. The aim of the team is to entertain the non dog owning and dog owning people alike to educate the audience on being responsible owners while at the same time having fun with your dog.  This year's show includes the ever popular Sheep Show as well as new livestock classes, trade stands, South West Cheese Awards and The Somerset Cider Championships. With entry remaining ‘Free’ for pedestrians and only £13 for carparking , the show provides a fantastic fun-filled ‘value for money’ day out for all the family. Come along and support your local agricultural show.

Young Farmers Club Dairy Classes revised classes:
222A Holstein heifer born on or after 1st August 2017
223A Holstein heifer 6 months or under on show day
224A Dairy heifer, any other breed born on or after 1st August 2017

Town meets Country at traditional one-day Agricultural show

The Mid-Somerset Show is a traditional one day agricultural show with new breed specific livestock classes including cattle, pigs and sheep. Our equestrian classes include heavy horses, driving, hunter classes and showjumping. Whilst in other parts of the show you can see poultry, arts and crafts, flower show, floral art, classic cars, vintage vehicles as well as the South West Cheese Awards and the Somerset Cider Championship. Something for everyone.

How to find the show.

Cannard’s Grave Road, Shepton Mallet BA4 5RT

From the M5:
Leave M5 at junction 23 and follow the A39 to Street and onto Glastonbury. In Glastonbury take the A361 to Shepton Mallet. At Shepton Mallet continue towards the A37, and signs will direct you to showfield parking.

From the A303:
Leave the A303 at Podimore roundabout and join the A37 signposted to Shepton Mallet. Once on the edge of Shepton Mallet road signs will direct you to showfield parking.
